Understand Groupmail 7 eligibility, trials, licences and cover

Your Groupmail account determines which Groupmail 7 offer is available. A purchase gives you a perpetual licence: an eligible installed version remains yours to use if annual updates and support cover later ends.

Your account is your licence

Groupmail 7 does not require a customer-visible serial number or licence key. Sign in with your account email. The same account is used in the desktop app and customer portal, which shows the machine allowance currently attached to your account.

The standard Groupmail 7 purchase

The standard price is $599, a one-time payment. Tax added where applicable.

  • One licence covers up to 3 computers, Mac and Windows.
  • With two or more licences, each licence covers one computer.
  • The first 12 months of updates and support are included.
  • After that, updates and support are optional at $175 a year. If you add them, they renew automatically each year until you cancel. Your licence stays yours either way.

Free trial

Anyone can try Groupmail 7 free for 30 days. Download it from groupmail7.com, open the app and enter your email on the welcome screen. No card is needed.

  • The trial is the full app for 30 days.
  • There is one free trial per email address and one per computer. An email or computer that has already had a trial or a licence can’t start another; the app says “This email address has already had a free trial” or “This computer has already had a free trial”.
  • When the trial ends, you can keep opening the app and your data, but you need a licence to keep sending.
  • Buying a licence with the same email moves that computer to your paid licence. You don’t need to reinstall or move your data.

If you own GroupMail 6

Groupmail first verifies your GroupMail 6 ownership and cover status.

  • If your verified GM6 cover includes the relevant GM7 release, that release is granted as a perpetual Groupmail 7 licence at no extra charge. You can use and re-download releases published while that cover is valid.
  • If your verified GM6 cover has ended, you may start one full 30-day trial without a card or buy Groupmail 7 immediately for $175 plus applicable tax.
  • The $175 purchase includes a perpetual Groupmail 7 licence and one year of updates and support. Cover then renews at $175 per year unless cancelled.

The transition trial by itself does not grant a perpetual release. Buying during or after the trial does not require moving your local data into a separate installation.

What annual cover includes

Active cover provides access to eligible new versions, feature and provider updates, downloads and support. Entitlement and security refresh remain available after cover lapses while the service operates.

If cover ends:

  • your eligible installed version keeps working;
  • your local data remains on your computer;
  • you need renewed cover to receive releases published after your cover cutoff or to use cover-only services.
