GroupMail 6 and Groupmail 7 are separate purchases
GroupMail 6 billing through Cleverbridge and Groupmail 7 billing through its current billing service are separate contracts. Starting a GM7 trial or buying GM7 does not automatically cancel, migrate, reconcile or renew your GM6 contract.
What Groupmail uses from your GM6 account
Groupmail may verify your GM6 ownership and cover date to determine which GM7 transition offer or release grant applies. This eligibility check does not move the old transaction into the Groupmail 7 billing service and does not alter the GM6 contract.
What a GM7 purchase changes
A GM7 purchase creates a new Groupmail 7 entitlement and annual-cover relationship. It does not:
- cancel a GM6 renewal;
- move GM6 invoices into the GM7 billing portal;
- replace the original Cleverbridge transaction record;
- promise that every GM6 right or service has migrated to GM7.
If you want to change GM6 billing
Use the instructions associated with the original GM6/Cleverbridge purchase or contact [email protected] for the correct legacy support route. Do not cancel GM7 cover when you intend to change only GM6 billing, or vice versa.
Your software and data
Groupmail 7 installs separately from GroupMail 6. It can import supported GM6 data, but the import is a one-time copy rather than a live synchronization. GM7 does not overwrite the GM6 installation or data folders.
